None of this is compulsory — we'll work around whatever we find. But if you'd like the job to run quickly and finish neatly, this is the list.
The evening before
- Plan where cars will go. A clear surface is a faster, better clean.
- Move planters, furniture, bins, toys and doormats off the area if you can.
- Take down anything hanging that would get sprayed.
On the morning
- Close windows and doors on the working side.
- Keep pets indoors while treatments are applied and drying.
- Point out the outside tap, and any socket you'd rather we didn't use.
- Unlock side gates if we need access to the rear.
Worth mentioning to us
- Loose or crumbling pointing, cracked flags or blocks that already rock.
- Drains that back up or areas that flood in heavy rain.
- Recently planted borders or anything sensitive next to the surface.
- Damp-prone airbricks, vents or a low door threshold.
- Whether you're considering sealing, so we can plan for a dry-day return visit.
